In darkest times, may you find light
Christmas card designed between Torelló and Barcelona in the last months of 2020 with support from Enric Mas. The copies have been engraved in paper Revere de Magnani, 250gr., or Favini, 220gr., at studio Barra de ferro from Fundació EINA, Barcelona.
This Christmas card is for the workers of Escola EINA, Barcelona.
There are 150 copies, in two print runs of 100 and 50 copies, respectively.
All of them have been numbered and signed.
In the mid 2020, artist and professor of EINA Enric Mas invited me to design the Christmas card that every year the school gives to its workers as a Christmas present.
My response to this invitation is this edition, which is connected to the installation “No need of light“, based on excerpts taken from “The Blind”, by Maurice Maeterlinck, and presented at Bombon Projects in September 2020. The edition distingishes itself from that installation by taking another format and representing a sentence which doesn’t come from Maeterlinck but is my wish for the start of a new year.
My infinite thanks to Enric Mas, Elisenda Soler, Iolanda Parés, technicians at Barra de ferro, Fundació EINA, Bombon Projects.
