Dissolution in water (Moià)

2025

Participative action.

As part of the exhibition “The flowing currents”, curated by Cristina Ramos, at A Cobert, Moià.

With the participation of Ariadna Planas, Eloi Nortes, Cristina Ramos, Berta Solà, Júlia Palau, Anna Roma, Pol Aregall and Joana Aregall.

Adaptation of the work “Dissolution dans la Seine (après Lea Lublin)” to be performed at the Moià reservoir.

On March 8, 1978, Lea Lublin immersed a list of questions about women in the waters of the Seine from the Pont Marie in Paris. The act, of a protesting and symbolic nature, represented the dissolution in water of all the stereotypes attributed to women.

As part of the exhibition “Els corrents desembocats”, curated by Cristina Ramos in Moià, a group of us gathered around the Moià reservoir to ask ourselves what water is for us. We shared our thoughts and intuitions to end up making a list that included all of them in the form of questions. We wrote this list in ink on a cotton cloth that we then immersed in water to dissolve the writing.

The canvas was shown in the Moià exhibition space.

My infinite thanks to: Cristina Ramos, Ariadna Planas, Eloi Nortes, Anna Roma, Pol Aregall, Berta Solà, Júlia Palau.
